This year's Aviation Camp has come to an end! Aviation Camp was a fun filled adventure for all cadets complete with flying virtual planes, a bus breaking down, and Colonel's humor included (free of charge)! 25 cadets had come to Kearny for one week to be instructed by volunteer retired veterans as well as Colonel Swann on aviation! In addition to class courses, cadets had the opportunity to try their luck on the simulators, and take three field trips!
Their week started with aviation lessons that covered everything from air traffic to the parts of a plane and instruction on the simulators. The following day, cadets traveled as a whole to explore the Los Alamitos Airfield. Finally the last two days, cadets alternated between touring the San Diego Aviation Museum and Montgomery Airport, respectively, and spending more time on the simulators! A big thank you to all the instructors who helped to make this happen!

Help! The Earth has been plagued with a virus that has killed off most of the population. Cadets from the entire brigade had come together to save the rest of the world at this year’s STEM camp. Cadets lived and worked at the SDSU campus in order to successfully send the survivors of this epidemic to a recently discovered planet. Faced with the difficult task of preparing for the creation of this new society, cadets were required to work across multiple STEM fields in order to accomplish their common goal. However, in addition to these workshops and labs cadets also attended presentations about applying to college, military scholarships, as well as college life. The week cadets spent at STEM camp was not just an amazing opportunity because they ultimately saved the human race, but it allowed cadets to explore some of the paths that their future may hold.
