- c/PFC Bui On Saturday, December 10th, we participated in the 2016 Regulation Drill Competition. Drill allows cadets to learn and demonstrate their ability to listen to follow detailed instructions. With the little time that cadets had to practice before the competition, they have done an excellent job. Movements were executed with precision. We would like to congratulate all of cadets that participated for their hard work and performance. There was a lot of competition as there were many events that had a two to four way tie. With that being said, we would like to proudly applaud Cadet Command Sergeant Major Mains for placing 2nd in 3rd Year Best Drill Individual and Cadet Captain Valencia for placing 2nd in 4th Year Best Drill Individual. We are proud of all our cadets that participated. Lastly, we would like to thank all those that came to support!

- c/PFC Bui On December 4th, twenty-four cadets explored the San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park, a national park commemorating the soldiers who fought the battle between the U.S. and Californio forces on December 6, 1846 in the Mexican-American War, where both Generals Stephen Kearny (the man our school was named after) and Andres Pico claimed victory. Our JROTC Color Guard raised both the Mexican and American flag as we present arms while the National Anthems played. It was a fun experience for all of us as we journeyed through some trails, looked at the historical exhibits, and in unison, watched the battle day performance at the amphitheater.
