This past Wednesday, March 14th, Kearny High honored the victims of Parkland School tragedy through a silent walkout and many information workshops that focus on gun control, school safety, and more. Through these workshops, students were able to learn about the importance of gun control and voting. They were also able to respond to the victims of the Parkland shooting and companies by sending letters about the ban of assault rifles. Students also had the chance to ask questions about school safety to Ms. Diaz and campus security. We hope that this convention and by standing together, that we recognize the victims of the Parkland school shooting and make change within our community, city, and country in order to safely live in peace.
Kearny AJROTC pays their respects to cadets Peter Wang, Alaina Perry, and Martin Duque, who will be honored with the JROTC Medal of Heroism. Comments are closed.
