Hi, fellow cadets! We hope that you had an amazing Thanksgiving break and we are very thankful for you! This is to remind our fellow LET 2-4's that the speech about our U.S. Constitution is going to be due on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. There are specific amendments that you have to mention in your speech. The information is under the "Homework and Projects" tab.
For your convenience: Each LET 2-4 cadet will give an oratory speech. The assigned topic discourse must not consume less than three (3) minutes or more than five (5) minutes for delivery. The purpose of the assigned topic discourse i to test the cadet's knowledge of the subject, the extent of his or her research, and the ability to discuss the topic as related to the basic principles of government under the constitution. Cadets can give their speech before December 1 if they are ready to do so. The cadet may choose any of the topics listed below. Assigned Topics:
Again, for your convenience: All LET 2-4 cadets will submit an essay for the 2015-2016 Army JROTC Essay Contest. This assignment is worth 110 points. The essay itself is 100 points and 10 points as Tab J in your Cadet Portfolio. The topic for this year's essay is "100 Years of JROTC: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow". Criteria:
The top three essay writers will receive a Kearny AJROTC Ribbon for their efforts. The winning essay will be forwarded to the San Diego Joint Brigade for the District Competition. The winner of that competition goes forward the 8th Brigade and possibly the National JROTC Finals. Type your essay, save it as a Word file, and then submit it on My Big Campus.
